MMTPT116

This week, the destination station for Mothermark's Teapotters is Hobe Sound, FL.  Lynette will be the recipient of all the happy Disney cards.  Lynette works and takes care of her husband, who has Parkinson's.  Lynette found out she had cancer of the hand, next they found it in her colon and now her lungs.  Everything is a bit overwhelming right now for Lynette.  We were told she loves Disney World and all of its characters - so, the teapotters' cards are all going to Lynette - in the hope that she will get some smiles from all the fun cards.  Cindy (Mothermark) finds someone each week in need of some smiles and usually prayers - but I've got to say it makes me feel good to send a card to someone that can use a bit of cheer.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse - EK Success
Ink:  SU markers and some Copics
Paper:  SU CS Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, DP Prima Fairy Floral
Accessories:  Prima flower; SU pearl and SU punch and pop dots

We had fun at stamp club tonight.  We made a witch's hat (which holds some candy); a Christmas card and a Thanksgiving card.  The Thanksgiving card was fun - we used a fall leaf set - stamping the leaves with versamark; next we used the mini sticky notes and covered up parts of the card and brayered 1 color; removed 2 sticky notes and brayered another color; removed the remainder of the sticky notes and brayered a third color.  Then we took 2 more small leaf stamps and stamped some more images with a regular stamp pad.  The end result was very, very cool!  I think I will make a few more cards for Thanksgiving using this technique - whatever it might be called!

Well, that's it for the blurb on the blog.  Oops - short weather report - it's currently 46 degrees and a bit breezy!  Later Gator!
